The Man in the Mirror

Sometimes I envy the vampire
“But why!?”
I hear you cry.

The answer, my friends
Is simple:
Mirrors.

Vampires have no reflection.

What I wouldn’t give for that simple pleasure
Of not seeing myself in the mirror
How much better my life would be

Not seeing myself, in all my inglorious detail
Not seeing how hideous I am
Not hating the man in the mirror

Then perhaps I could have confidence
Then perhaps I could find a nice girl
But alas, it can never be

So there I am
Sitting in front of my mirror
Hating every second.
